Die GKF wird sich zusammen mit griechischen Flüchtlingsinitiativen,
Gewerkschaften und Friedensgruppen für die Bekämpfung von Fluchtursachen
statt Flüchtlingen mit Friedensaktionen in Athen und Mytilene einsetzen.
Dazu finden nun vom 1.- 7. November 2016 zahlreiche Aktivitäten
(Konzert, Konferenz, Kundgebung) in Athen und auf der griechischen Insel
Lesbos statt, wo auch aus Afghanistan geflüchtete Musiker in
verschiedenen Flüchtlingsunterkünften auftreten werden.
Ein Solidaritäts- und Friedenskonzert am 1. November 2016 um 21 Uhr in
dem selbstverwalteten Flüchtlings-Hotel City Plaza in Athen ist den
Flüchtlingen und den freiwilligen Helfer/Innen gewidmet.
Es wirken mit: Theodorakis-Ensemble, eine syrische Friedensdelegation
und bekannte afghanische Künstler. Die Musiker Shekib Mosadeq und Masoud
Hasanzada schreiben und singen politische Lieder über ihr Land
Afghanistan und die Erfahrungen der Flucht aus Afghanistan nach Europa,
stellvertretend für alle Kriegsflüchtlinge.
Mit einer Kundgebung und einem Appell von Lesbos am Hafen in Mytilini am
Sonntag, den 6. November, wird in Erinnerung der tausenden Toten im
Mittelmeer eine Politik gefordert, die sich an den Über-
Lebensinteressen aller Menschen ausrichtet und dadurch
Flüchtlingsbewegungen mit Tod und Leid langfristig vermeidet.
Zum Abschluss der Reise findet am 7. November eine Syrienkonferenz in
Athen statt, bei der Vertreter/Innen der syrischen Zivilgesellschaft
über die Zukunft ihres Landes, die Beendigung des Krieges und die
Überwindung der von außen gesteuerten geopolitischen Interessen beraten.

„TOWARDS PEACE THROUGH A NEW CONSTITUTION IN SYRIA ?“
Given the humanitarian disaster in and around Syria and the failure of
the international community of States to produce a sustainable peace
some prominent members of the Syrian civil society got together in
Austria and elaborated the ground for a future constitutional process in
Syria.
In the context of a tour of concerts for the refugees in Greece
organized by the German based NGO Cultures of Peace the international
initiative www.peaceinsyria.org will present the results of this
conference in order to promote in Greece a Constitutional Assembly for
Syria in the upcoming months.
Speakers: Mouna Ghanem from Damascus, Madjoleen Hassan from Latakia,
Sheruan Hassan from Rojava, and Leo Gabriel from Austria.
